Sales Engineer

Sales Engineer Responsibilities
  • Verifying, validating, and creating BOM's
  • Review customer RFQ ( Request for Quotation) specifications and develop process engineering and design strategies to meet the applicable requirements.
  • Be able to coalesce and synthesize the inputs and demands from the Engineering, Project Management, and Quality Departments.
  • Responsible for analyzing 2D part prints, cad files, and stp files.
  • Understand process flows and associated lead times.
  • Maintains product and system technical knowledge by studying pertinent information as it becomes available, or when research is required.
  • Serves customers/suppliers by answering inquires and responding to special requests.
  • Responsible for manual assembly and packaging Time Studies.
  • Supports TS16949 Business Systems.
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering.
  • 5 years experience in automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Expert in Excel.
  • Excellent relationship building with suppliers/customers.
  • General knowledge of finance, including the ability to read and understand financial data.
  • Knowledge with the following manufacturing operations:
    • Precision Metal Stamping
    • Injection Molding
    • Planting (Nickel, Tin, Gold, and Silver)
  • Strong influence-management, negotiation, leadership, and assertiveness skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills.
